Fresh from winning his 6th gold from E-Champions Trophy World Series #1, the two-time Southeast Asian Games bronze medalist shared on social media on September 7, 2020, that he emerged victorious in his two latest online tournaments.

“Two Tournaments, two finals in one day, I WON MY 7th & 8th GOLD MEDALS!!” the 30-year-old Pinoy karateka posted on Facebook. “After winning the E-Karate Games, I joined three more tournaments afterwards. I claimed my 6th Gold Medal in the E-Champions Trophy World Series #1 the other day.”

In the 2nd Dutch Open E-Tournament held on September 6, De Los Santos faced and defeated athletes from the U.S.A. during Round 16 and from Switzerland in the quarterfinals. He also bested San Marino in the semifinal, and eventually edged U.S.A. to win his 7th gold.

On the following day, September 7, the Pinoy karate athlete showcased his skills at the Miyamoto Musashi – Five Rings E-Tournament where he won over Morocco and South Africa during the quarterfinals and semifinals, respectively.

De Los Santos eventually snagged his 8th gold after winning against Brazil in the final round.

“These tournaments will add more points to the virtual kata world rankings. Still a long journey to No. 1, but I’m taking this one step at a time,” the Filipino gold medalist said.

The World No. 2 ranked player in the rankings for E-Tournaments has earned 3,870 points and is eyeing to get the top spot from Eduardo Garcia of Portugal with 7,075 by joining competitions to gain points.
